LIÈGE, BELGIUM – This Sunday afternoon witnesses who wander along the Meuse have called for help. The body of a person was seen floating at the height of the Atlas Bridge.

Immediately, firefighters from the Liege police went on the spot and the floor was warned.

According to the information confirmed by the prosecution, it is Marion Haan, the girl aged 20, missing since Tuesday, September 17.

This disappearance was considered worrying by the authorities. The public prosecutor’s office in Liège issued a notice of search on Wednesday.

The suicide thesis is favored by the investigators since at this stage no trace of intervention by a third party was found. The prosecution will communicate this Monday during the day.

The French girl was a third year student of physiotherapy at the Haute Ecole of the Province of Liège.

She had left her kot located at Quai Godefroid Kurth around 14h and has not appeared since. Excavations had already been conducted in the Meuse on Thursday, at the dock Godefroid Kurth.
