The trailer of Ayushmann Khurrana’s next film ‘Dreamgirl’ was launched in Mumbai on Monday amid the joy of receiving the National Award. Ayushmann Khurrana, Nusrat Bharucha and the film’s writer and director Raj Shandilya were present on the occasion along with the show’s producer Ekta Kapoor.
Ayushmann was in front of the media for the first time after winning the National Award for Best Actor for the film ‘Andhadhun’. Ayushmann believes that those who get awards are truly deserving of their awards, because in commercial cinema, if their films are running, for their credibility, how many actors who have won awards among the many awards that are constantly in dispute. It’s because the audience likes them.
Ayushmann believes that the artist is like a child, when he gets an award, he becomes curious. The National Award is a prize associated with the country, which is announced to everyone. It is like the result of some board examination, in which people tell that you have got so many numbers.
This award is announced in front of everyone on TV. When Ayushmann got the National Award, he was shooting for the film at the time. He said that he has not been able to digest the award till now, as he was in the shot during that time and when he returned and saw the mobile phone, there were forty missed calls. He could not express his feelings among the fifty people on the set.
